Multi-Skilled Estate Worker Required
The Estate
We are primarily a forestry estate, with additional grazing land and rental properties. While we use contractors and forestry consultants for major forestry operations, we handle track maintenance internally. Our grasslands are leased for grazing, with the estate taking responsibility for the upkeep of hedges and fences.
The Role
This is a full time, permanent role.
Salary £29k - £33k depending on experience.
Responsibilities include forest track maintenance, hedge trimming, and fencing.
Your main tasks will include maintaining forest tracks, trimming hedges, and fencing. However, you will also be involved in a variety of other activities.
The job will require proficiency (and any necessary certifications) in tractor driving, hedge trimming, operating an excavator, using a chainsaw, and tree felling. We do not expect you to have all these skills initially: training will be provided. The most important qualities we're looking for are the ability to get along well with colleagues, contractors, tenants, and the public, as well as to be able to work independently and manage your own time and priorities.
